This seemed to be one of the best features of my life in Tel Aviv.
I found it so easy to be here not because of the men but the people of Israel in general.
Level 1: The days where all the Israeli men look like rainbows and unicorns.
No flaws, highly democratic, liberated sort of fabulous level like all dating stages, Israeli or not.
I consider myself to be very liberal and open minded, but I guess if you don’t know me, the joke could leave some with a bad taste.
But to set the record straight: The joke about men being primitive is a joke.
For instance, I had a very serious boyfriend in college in the US and our parents (both his parents and mine) made us sleep on opposite sides of the house. Then of course there were the Israeli men who were very defensive.
Living abroad in another country is hard, especially when you have to adjust to cultural differences.
One of the major differences I found between life in Israel verses that in America is the dating culture.
Certain dating norms that are acceptable in America cannot be applied to the dating scene in Israel.
If you ever find yourself in Israel, whether for a short vacation or a long-term stay, consult this list before you hit the daring scene of dating Israeli men.
